Background
My expertise is in algal culturing and physiology. Professional activities have included conducting experimental manipulative experiments to understand how physiological traits (growth, photosynthesis, elemental stoichiometry) change in response to environmental conditions (temperature, light, nutrients). I am also interested how these physiological changes are regulated at the molecular level (e.g. changes in gene expression via qPCR), and have some experience in conducting manipulative 'omics' type experiments. My curent role is as a Research Projects Officer at the Australian National Algae Culture Collection (ANACC) where I manage our Supply Service and help to maintain the ANACC microalgae collection.
