Background
I am currently a student and staff member at the University of Tasmania and IMAS. As well as an undergraduate intern at the CSIRO (NCMI) Hobart and Analytical Services Tasmania.
I have experience in microalgal cultivation, isolation, and organic/humic nutrient supplementation. My expertise is dinoflagellate culturing and organic nutrients, particularly applied to PST-producing species of Gymnodinium and Alexandrium in Tasmania. My current research focuses on establishing and identifying a potentially toxic dinoflagellate species isolated from South Australia using microscopy and genetic approaches.
