Background
Marine Biologist and Environmental Manager with a strong understanding of environmental policies, field sampling and testing, project management, data analysis and quality control gained from numerous years of intensive education and practical experience in the research sector.
Expert on identification and enumeration of Freshwater and Marine toxic and non-toxic microalgae in South Australia. I work with routine samples from Potable water Reservoirs, Recreational, Wastewater, Environmental and Agricultural Waters, with the use of Light Microscopy techniques.
I am experienced in Chlorophyll and Phaeophytin extraction by using Filtration and Spectrophotometric determination.
Strong knowledge of molecular techniques for the analysis of biological samples, including RNA extraction,
cDNA synthesis and PCR and extensive experience with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) techniques: Reverse, Sandwich, Direct and Competitive.
