Background

I am a HAB researcher, primarily on freshwater cyanobacterial HABs and algal ecology, but I also work on marine cyanobacterial HABs, e.g. Lyngbya in southeast Queensland. I am Australia's representative on the UNESCO-FAO Intergovernmental Panel on HABs, and had been on UNESCO HAB committees for a number of years.
