Dr Tamsyne Smith-Harding

I am a Senior Scientific Officer at Microalgal Services. Microalgal Services is the major HAB monitoring laboratory for government Shellfish Quality Assurance Programs on the east coast of Australia (Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales). As the senior Scientific Officer, I am responsible for the day to day running of the laboratory. I also play an active role in the more detailed phytoplankton monitoring programs Microalgal Services carries out for universities, local councils, government agencies, private aquaculture and industries around Australia. This work ranges from general phytoplankton monitoring programs where I identify a broad range of phytoplankton taxa from Australian waters to more detailed taxonomic investigations.
