Dear Members,

We are pleased to let you know that the Australia New Zealand Marine Harmful Algal Bloom Network was recently granted incorporated status. With this milestone achieved, we are planning the ANZHABNet inaugural AGM, which will be held in conjunction with the Science Symposium on 25 November 2026.

Nominations are now open for committee positions. Please visit our website for more information on the AGM.

A friendly reminder about ANZHABNet's upcoming events in November:

Science Symposium – Wednesday 25 November 2026 (including 2026 AGM)
Karenia Technical Workshop – Thursday 26 November 2026 (full day and newly added Scanning Electron Microscope demonstration on morning of 27 November)

Please note that abstract submissions for the Science Symposium, and applications to attend the Karenia Technical Workshop, close on Monday 12 October 2026.

Thank you to those who have already registered for the symposium and applied to attend the workshop.

As planning for the Karenia Technical workshop has progressed, we have arranged a scanning electron microscope (SEM) demonstration on the morning of 27 November. The workshop application form has been updated to gauge participant interest in this session. We will also contact those who have already submitted applications to ask if they are interested in the SEM session.
