Australia and New Zealand Marine Harmful Algal Bloom Identification, Detection and Quantification Training Course

Dates: 1st – 4th December 2025

Venue: University of Technology Sydney

Cost: Free. The course is funded by SafeFish through the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC Project 2025-046). Participants will need to cover their own expenses including travel, meals and incidental costs.

HAB Symposium

Date: 5th December 2025 (9am-4pm)

Venue: University of Technology Sydney/Online option

Agenda: Investigating the SA bloom (am) and Research, government and community activities supporting management, mitigation and understanding of impact (pm).

Abstract Submission: Abstract submissions due by 12 November 2025 The theme of the afternoon session (1-4pm) of the HAB Symposium is Research, government and community activities supporting management, mitigation and understanding of impact. Abstracts (max 200 words) are invited for consideration for a short presentation (10-12 min presentation, Q&A panel questions at end of session).
